The Capital School Bahrain

The Capital School Bahrain is based on a classic British through-School set-up and operates using a class/form structure within key stages of development. We teach the full British National Curriculum from Early Years’ Foundation Stage whilst adhering to the requirements of the Bahrain Ministry of Education guidance on the teaching of Arabic and Islamic Classes.
Capital School Bahrain was established in 2015. The school grew rapidly. In 2022, Capital School moved to a new campus in Bu Quwah, Bahrain, outgrowing its original premises. Additional year groups have been added to this extended site with three separate school buildings, so the school can now teach pupils from pre-primary to secondary stage.

Chairman's Message

Time and experience have shown that a good education can make all the difference in one’s life. Likewise, the value of learning institutions that understand the purpose of education cannot be under-estimated. These institutions are not restricted to imparting mere book learning, but equally committed to the nurturing of extracurricular talent and to the inculcation of human values like wisdom, compassion, courage, and integrity in young minds.
When we first established the Capital Schools in Dubai, and then in Bahrain, this was the vision we had. To make this school representative of education in the highest sense of the word, making it our mission to ensure that every child who enters our gates benefits from the full advantage of our combined experience, understanding and vision. We aim to give every one of our students a chance to grow and develop into well-rounded complete individuals.
Our Facilities
We have a brand-new campus with extensive facilities for all areas of school life, purpose built for each section of the school. These include play areas, science labs, sports facilities, a multipurpose hall, three libraries and a food tech room. Lessons are timetabled to make the most of our facilities so that pupils benefit from our superb resources.
Meet The Team

Principal
I am proud to be the Principal of this amazing school in Bahrain. I come with a wealth of expert background knowledge having taught and led in schools across the UK since 1999. I started teaching Maths in Portsmouth before taking on different leadership roles and responsibilities across a number of schools. During the last 15 years I have worked at a senior level and have overseen curriculum development, assessment, behaviour, and rewards and sanctions.
I achieved my National Professional Qualification of Headship in 2021 upon which I took on the leadership of a school in Portsmouth before focusing my efforts on moving myself and family overseas.
I moved to Bahrain in August 2024 along with my wife and three children, one of which currently attend Capital School. Outside of school, I enjoy being active, having recently taken part in a half-ironman event in the UK and am currently part of a local cycle and running group.

Acting Vice Principal
I feel extremely privileged to be part of the Senior Leadership Team here at Capital School. I have extensive experience in Primary Leadership which has seen me take on a range of different roles: Safeguarding, Behaviour and Attitudes Lead; Curriculum Development Lead; and most recent being Head of a large junior school in England.
My educational ethos is one which has children at its heart. Every decision is made to improve children’s educational experience and life chances. I have extremely high expectations of myself and of those around me, and as such I ensure everyone strives to be the best they can: adults and children.
I joined Capital School in August 2024 with my wife and two children. Both my children attend the school, and my wife teaches in Year 6. Away from school, I have been enjoying exploring Bahrain’s rich history and spending time with my family.

Assistant Principal across Secondary School
I have been a Secondary school teacher for over 25 years and love my job just as much, if not more, than when I started. I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physical Education with QTS. These have included; Head of Department, Curriculum Leader, Head of Year, Head of House and Rewards and Head of Key Stage 4.

Ensuring the students attend school every day and are excited by their learning and challenges is my mantra. I moved to Bahrain in the summer with my family and my three children; one of which attends Capital School. Outside of school, I enjoy keeping active by doing Yoga and swimming. I also love going to the cinema, going for long walks and relish the opportunity to get lost in a novel!
