Meet The Team
Capital School is a British School Overseas school, so our staff body reflects this. Our teaching staff, most of whom are native English speakers, are highly qualified with wide-ranging knowledge of the British education system. They are committed to delivering the best possible educational experience for every child at our school, with their own continued professional development being a priority in their career and in the school generally.
Support staff are also chosen for their dedication, hard work, experience and qualifications, whether this is to directly support the pupils in the classroom or as part of the general operations team behind the educational practice. Where possible, we also employ local staff to emphasise the importance of the Bahraini culture as a foundation of our British school ethos.
All staff are a valued part of the Capital School family formed by our pupils, their families, staff and external partners.

Principal
I am proud to be the Principal of this amazing school in Bahrain. I come with a wealth of expert background knowledge having taught and led in schools across the UK since 1999. I started teaching Maths in Portsmouth before taking on different leadership roles and responsibilities across a number of schools. During the last 15 years I have worked at a senior level and have overseen curriculum development, assessment, behaviour, and rewards and sanctions.
I achieved my National Professional Qualification of Headship in 2021 upon which I took on the leadership of a school in Portsmouth before focusing my efforts on moving myself and family overseas.
I moved to Bahrain in August 2024 along with my wife and three children, one of which currently attend Capital School. Outside of school, I enjoy being active, having recently taken part in a half-ironman event in the UK and am currently part of a local cycle and running group.

Head Of Secondary
It is with immense pride that I join Capital School Bahrain as the new Head of Secondary at Capital School Bahrain. With a wealth of experience spanning across multiple continents, I bring a deep commitment to both academic excellence and pastoral care.
In addition to my many years of experience in the UK, I have worked in a range of international settings, including Kuwait, the UAE, Malaysia, and Algeria. These diverse experiences have enriched my understanding of global education systems, allowing me to build strong relationships with students and parents alike, whilst producing record results in a number of schools.
Driven by my belief that every student deserves to feel safe, valued, and respected, I am passionate about creating an environment where, by setting high expectations of staff and students alike, students can unlock their full potential. By fostering a positive school culture and prioritising wellbeing alongside academic rigour, I ensure that every child is empowered to succeed and pursue their passions in life, whatever path they choose.
With an unwavering commitment to helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally, I am dedicated to ensuring that Capital School Bahrain’s secondary students will have every opportunity to flourish and become the leaders of tomorrow. Outside of school life, I am a lover of all sports, but in particular, football, and have coached both boys' and girls' football over the years, including school teams and my own son's team.

Head Of Primary
I feel extremely privileged to be part of the Senior Leadership Team here at Capital School. I have extensive experience in Primary Leadership which has seen me take on a range of different roles: Safeguarding, Behaviour and Attitudes Lead; Curriculum Development Lead; and most recent being Head of a large junior school in England.
My educational ethos is one which has children at its heart. Every decision is made to improve children’s educational experience and life chances. I have extremely high expectations of myself and of those around me, and as such I ensure everyone strives to be the best they can: adults and children.
I joined Capital School in August 2024 with my wife and two children. Both my children attend the school, and my wife teaches in Year 6. Away from school, I have been enjoying exploring Bahrain’s rich history and spending time with my family.
